2025 Call to Convention

Free State PTA is delighted to invite all PTA/PTSA members to our Annual Convention, scheduled for July 26-27, 2025. This gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow members, engage in informative workshops, and contribute to the future direction of our association.

Convention Highlights:

• Dates: July 26-27, 2025 

• Location: Maritime Conference Center, Linthicum Heights, MD

• Cost: $125.00 per person

• Registration: Details will be provided on the Free State PTA website on April 1, 2025.

Key Activities:

• Board Office Elections: Positions up for election include President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Presidents for Leadership, Advocacy, Field Services, Membership, and Directors at Large (2). Members interested in these roles should refer to Article VI of the Free State PTA Bylaws for eligibility requirements to run from the floor. 

• Bylaw Amendments: Delegates will review and vote on proposed amendments to the Free State Bylaws. 

• Workshops and Training Sessions: A series of sessions focused on leadership development, advocacy, membership growth, and organizational strategies will be offered. We encourage members to propose workshop ideas and share their expertise.

• Networking Opportunities: Engage with PTA leaders, educators, parents, and community members from across the state to share experiences and best practices.

Delegate Information:

Each local PTA unit is entitled to send delegates to the convention in accordance with the Free State PTA's bylaws. Delegates play a crucial role in representing their units, electing officers and board positions, and participating in decision-making processes. Credentialing details and delegate forms will be made available on our website in the near future.
